Managing . . .
The current conditions and how we manage through them has been a popular topic of late. Last week I had the opportunity to present at an event in Bellis, hosted by the Lakeland Applied Research Assoc. There were new and old faces as I shared thoughts on the importance of having a shared goal or vision, assessing our current assets - land, forage, livestock, finances and PEOPLE and putting a plan together for the coming year. Keeping in mind that each of our operations is unique and will apply principals differently. Adapting to changing circumstances, adopting a growth mindset and being mindful of Stephen Covey’s circles of control, influence and concern can be useful.
